Every value at a path you can copy, at any depth.
In the app
Open as tree draws the document beside your text — every value at a path you can copy, j and k to move, f to focus a branch, u to unpack a packed value, space to expand a long one.
While a branch is focused, Convert, Share and Find act on that branch alone; Compare does not.
Across the two shapes
A verb is implemented once per shape, not once per format. That is why a CSV gets the same tools as a webhook payload: both collapse to one of two shapes before any verb runs.
How the shapes differ for tree: Records = per-record tree.
- document · JSON, YAML, XML
- records · NDJSON, CSV, TSV, Markdown table, Log
A worked example
The API-response sample builds a tree of 44 nodes, 3 levels deep, with 2 arrays. Every node carries a path — $.items[1].sku — that Copy path puts on the clipboard, that Focus narrows the tree to, and that Find’s JSONPath mode addresses.
